We are crazy for smoothies and shakes—We drink at least one a day. And so I wish I had ordered these Durable Glass Straws sooner. They are phenomenal! Just a few days after ordering them they arrived in very little packaging—our first hint at how tough they are. Since then, my kids have not been very gentle with them. Short of really trying to break one, I think they have stood the test.
These straws are healthier for us and better for the environment since they don’t leach plastic chemicals into our drinks, and they can be reused. Plus they’re pretty 🙂 By the way, they also came with a nifty cleaning tool, in case you were wondering how to clean them. I highly recommend them for yourself or a gift. I’m already thinking of people I want to give them to.

Great idea. We also use a lot of straws. My daughter is VERY destructive, though. I hope she wouldn’t break them. That sounds like it would be bad, but they look great!

Another kind of reusable straw that I remember from childhood is the spoon straw. The mother of one of my friends served us iced tea one day with beautiful long-handled silver spoons. You could stir the tea with the spoon, then drink it through the tubular handle. Very fun. I just googled them, and it looks as though the spoons were originally made to be used with mint juleps.

Yay! Thanks so much for sharing this Kelly! I think I need to order some. My kids all love straws so much. I also just found a company that produces compostable paper straws. We are really moving forward! Hurray for less plastic!! 😉

I ordered these for Christmas presents this year and some for us also. We are absolutely loving them!! Especially in this cold winter weather, the kids are able to drink warm tea through them. They won’t drink warm tea otherwise!

On the flip side, four straws are $35! They are pretty, but that’s quite an investment for many. I’d suggest spoons or just drinking them out of the cup. 🙂

On the flip side 4 straws cost $35 not including shipping. That’s quite an investment for many people…perhaps just using a spoon or drinking straight out of the cup saves any extra purchase. 🙂 They are pretty though.

I saw some of the glass straws on another site a while ago. I still haven’t ordered any though … need to do that. So, thanks, Kelly!
