Rocky Mountain National Park
I wanted to share with you what we’ve been up to lately. You’ve been with me through some tough times. Today I want to celebrate these good times with you, because everyone has been doing so well! We’ve been having lots of fun.
Recently we went to Rocky Mountain National Park. It rained for 1 minute every 30 minutes (and even hailed once – haha!). The weather was spectacular. Before we moved here 6 years ago, this was the way we expected Colorado weather to be all summer long. Mild summer weather.

Another reason to celebrate: My dairy-free ice cream article and cover photo came in the mail a few days ago, and will be in stores everywhere soon 🙂
At the carnival the kids rode the merry-go-round, caterpillar rollercoaster, and monster trucks. While my personal favorite was the burlap sack slides, the squirt gun race took me back. I can still remember playing that when I was Zoe’s age.
Boulder Farmers Market
The weather at the farmers market on Saturday was hot. Very hot. Like it has been every summer. (Who knew? Not us East Coast transplants!) BUT we scored the best picnic table at the farmers market, in the shade, right next to the live music, which happened to be our favorite local band. We got slaw, watched people swing dancing, and made new friends.
Yesterday we went to Anne U White Trail in Boulder. It’s always been one of our favorites. When the wind blew down the trail, nestled between the cliffs, the smell of pine trees was sensational. There were all sorts of wild flowers, and the sound of the creek with waterfalls.
We played in the creek, and walked on the trail. We even got to see this doe, below. As if the day wasn’t already perfect enough, we ended up at the house of one of our best friends to share an evening of healthy paleo food, laughter and meaningful conversation.
I hope you come back soon. Zoe will be posting cookies, and I will be sharing a book review.
♥, Kelly

The girls are growing up and all so beautiful. I can’t believe how much Zoe looks like you. She is your “mini-me.”
Looks like you had a great time.
