Have you ever made your own nut butter? It’s so easy!!! Cashew butter is my faaaaavorite, because cashews aren’t as expensive as say macadamia nuts, and because they have a mild enough flavor that cashew butter goes great with everything. What exactly IS everything, you say? Well, I have a post coming up next which uses cashew butter, so I’ll leave that as a surprise for you 🙂 and you may be surprised to hear that my coffee is one of my favorite places to put cashew butter! You can blend it in using a blender with a vent, or you can use one of those little frother thingies. Of course I also love a spoonful of cashew butter spread over dark chocolate. It’s even really yummy over fruit!

Homemade Cashew Butter
4 cups raw cashews
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- Add the cashews and salt to the food processor fitted with the S blade.
- Puree for 10 minutes, or until completely smooth, stopping as needed to break it up.
- Store in a glass jar with a lid. Refrigerate as you should with all nuts and seeds to prevent the oils from going rancid.
- Enjoy!
