Merry Christmas! I hope you’re enjoying December so far! I have some amazing Hot Cocoa for you to sip while you enjoy the firelight!
This year I wanted my Christmas table to have a snowy winter wonderland theme that blended nicely into my decor. That’s why I chose grey and white, the colors of my walls and trim. (My walls are Dunn Edwards, Silver Polish.)
This grey and white tablecloth with snowflakes is by Arctic Holiday, but THIS one was my second choice. I’m crazy about the grey placemats, which I plan to use all year. They’re cotton so they will shrink. To minimize this, I washed them on delicate and cold. Then while they were wet I stretched them out and hung them to dry. We’ve also had these napkins for a while now, and I love the large size of them. I do put them in the dryer, but they were so big to begin with that they’re still large, even after shrinking. Finally, lead-free Italian crystal glasses match the sparkly snowy winter wonderland theme. Similar ones by the same company can be found HERE.
I temporarily replaced some of the more summery-looking framed artwork with vintage Christmas printouts.
The tree from the living room looks so nice in the dining room that I’m going to put it there for Christmas dinner. 🙂 The white chairs have padded seats, and I love the look of them, as well as the wooden Eames-style chairs. THESE were my second choice, had I not found the wooden ones on Craigslist.
Now if only Santa would bring me one of those round robot vacuums, because you guys!!!—these ebony floors are the best, but also the worst, ha!! Thank goodness Ginger likes to take turns vacuuming with me, because someone has to vacuum every day! I can handle some clutter (you should see the other side of this front room right now, as my husband packs up his orders!) but my floors HAVE to be clean. Keepin it real ya’ll!
Lots of Love!
♥, Kelly
