Today I’m really excited to be offering a giveaway for my friend, Ricki. You may know her by her terrific site, Diet Dessert & Dogs. Ricki and I have a similar approach to recipes. We both use lots of nuts and seeds, and we have a shared love of stevia 😀
Ricki has offered to giveaway her eBook, Desserts Without Compromise (free of gluten, dairy, eggs and refined sugar) to one lucky winner. She gave me a free copy to review, and I knew immediately which recipe I wanted to try first: Creamy Vanilla Pudding (pictured above). Mmm. After reading the recipe, I was so confident we would love it that I went ahead and made a double batch. I’m so glad that I did! We had it last night and again this morning. It’s uber-yummy.
Her Creamy Vanilla Pudding is simple to make, and as Ricki advises, can be easily adjusted to your preferred sweetness level. I love that, because we have a low tolerance for sweetness. Next on my must-make list are her Peachy Pudding, Quick Berry Sorbet and Grain-free Fudgy Brownies. Is your mouth watering too, or is it just me? 😀
To enter to win, just leave a comment. Also in your comment I need to know your first name and last name initial so I can identify you. And don’t forget to come back and see if you won! This giveaway will end at 12 in the afternoon, on Monday, January 24th. I’ll announce the winner that evening!
♥, Kelly

I’m always interested in a cookbook that is free of gluten, dairy, and eggs! Add in free of soy and legumes and using very little grains or nightshades, for cookbook perfection. I guess I’m dreaming now. But, I doubt a dessert cookbook would wander into those areas too much.

Sounds delicious!! My oldest son is 6, and he is blind, autistic and has clinical seizures. He’s doing well, but we really watch what he eats. He can’t drink milk, and we’ve already got him and everyone else in the family on an organic diet, and incorporating more more raw foods and sugar-free foods. My other son who is 4 seems to react to high processed foods. At one point I thought we needed to keep him on a gluten-free diet. We still try to do that. Our boys are pretty picky eaters though, sometimes it’s difficult to know what they’re gonna want to eat and what they’re not. Especially for our oldest son, who is very sensitive to food textures and smells. This book, however sounds like it would be GREAT for our family and help us come up with a lot of really yummy recipes for some really picky eaters (sometimes includes my husband!!) 😉 – Victoria H.

I love how when people hear that we are GFCF and sugar free the FIRST thing people say all sad like is oh man you can’t have anything!’ Funny, because since going this way, I have found far better things to eat and cook and get more compliments on our food now!

Thanks for offering such a great giveaway, Kelly! My family has come to love the recipes in both of your cookbooks to a point that my copy of your first one is showing some loving wear to it. If you love Ricki’s cookbook, then I know I will too. Keep up all your great work!
Best,

This looks great! I am gluten/dairy intolerant, and because of a health condition am having to eat low carb, low fat, sugar and artificial sweetener free as well. I’m not going to lie… I’m feeling very overwhelmed, and beginning to wonder if I’ll ever be able to eat anything besides eggs (which I hate) and salad (which gets old fast). I need help!! 🙂

I hope the recipes are grain-free also. My teenage son instigated our Paleo diet lifestyle a year ago and he (we) needs paleo snacks to grab and go. Muffin or cookie-type things work best.

Hi Kelly,
Love your grain free book, it has really helped me stick to foods that are better for my body (no gluten or grains, dairy, eggs, soy, sugar, or starch). This cookbook would also be a great resource for me, so I would love to win!
I was wondering, do you know a good way to thicken coconut yogurt and/or nut milk without chia seed, starches, or gums? Would flax seed work? Thanks so much!

Hi Kelly, I also have two daughters that are your daughter’s ages! They’ve had eczema and tummy aches and some tests have shown sensitivities to wheat, dairy& eggs. Do you know of any good egg substitutes? I am new to all of this and your recipes look SOOO yummy, but many have eggs.
