For this easy DIY Christmas Centerpiece you will need:
- wooden box (such as this old wine crate from the antique store)
- cardboard, self-healing cutting mat, metal ruler, box cutter, hot glue gun
- floral moss
- craft glue and glitter
- 3 decorative trees (I found these at the thrift store. Bottle brush trees would also be cute.)
- votives and beeswax candles (paraffin is very toxic to your health)
- reindeer ornament
Step 1. Make a platform out of cardboard to raise the height of your centerpiece so that it’s just below level with the top of the box.
hot glue “walls” to create height
place the cardboard platform into the wooden box
Step 2. Create your arrangement. I hot glued my trees to bases cut of cardboard for more height. I didn’t glue the votives or moss, but you could if you want.
Step 3. Arrange the moss around your votives and trees.
Step 4. Squeeze glue over the moss. (Glue without glitter can be seen on the right above.)
Step 5. Pour glitter over the glue. The glitter will get everywhere, even where there’s no glue, which is absolutely fine 🙂 When the glue dries add a second coat of glue and glitter.
Step 6. Hot glue your reindeer into position.
Step 7. It’s ready to enjoy!
